Notes From Philanthropy – The new transportation vehicle has arrived!
Every day in the Philanthropy Department we are privileged to see amazing acts of kindness and an abundance of goodwill.
Recently during a campus ice cream social, the generosity of FTJ residents, Board of Directors, team members and community was on full display with the arrival of a new addition to our transportation fleet, a beautiful, 24’ 12 seater coach. For the past year through the Annual Fund, FTJ has been raising money to replace the coach that was used almost daily for medical appointments, shopping and events off campus. Every gift and every gesture of encouragement brought FTJ closer to its goal, and by this Spring, Jim Tonjann, Senior Director of Support Services was given “the green light” to start shopping!
“On behalf of all of us at FTJ, I am very grateful for the generous support we received. We are all excited to have the new vehicle on campus and for many years to come, I expect it to be a much smoother and more comfortable ride for our residents.”
Added Shelley Harris, Director of Philanthropy, “I am so grateful to everyone who wanted to help. It is just one more example of what we can accomplish when we work together for the greater good.”
